Our Accommodation
Carole and Roger Gransden have owned The Great Danes Country Inn for 10 years. During that time, they have lovingly restored the Inn and now offer a cosy licenced bar, excellent restaurant and tastefully furnished bedrooms for visitors.
Beachamwell is ideal for both leisure and business guests - whatever the time of year. The village is situated on the edge of Thetford Forest and The Brecks, close to the market town of Swaffham (you may recognise it from TVs popular Kingdom series!) there is so much to see and do that you will be spoilt for choice. Just 45 minutes from the North Norfolk coast and beaches, Norwich for shopping and culture and Cambridge and Colleges.
The Rooms
The stylish rooms at the Great Danes Country Inn are all tastefully decorated. Great care has been given to providing quality furniture and we pride ourselves on our freshly laundered bed linen.
We have six bedrooms, all with en-suite power showers.
The Old Forge (annexe) has been thoughtfully renovated to retain its character which includes beams and original brickwork. It has two bedrooms on the ground floor (with easy access and suitable for those less able). One of the rooms is a twin-bedded room, the other is a double bedded room. Both rooms can also be used as family rooms, as they have a double futon bed in each. We have recently added a third groundfloor bedroom to our main building.
The first floor at The Great Danes has two King sized double bedrooms and one twin bedroom.
All bedrooms have:

- Tea and coffee making facilities
- TV/DVD player (on request)
- Towels provided
There is also:
- Ample free car parking
- A wake up call service (on request)
- Laundry/valet service (on request)
- Secure facilities for bicycles
Room service is available on request.
Guests can enjoy drinks beside an inglenook fireplace (there are two!) on cosy leather sofas or outside in our sunny garden which overlooks the green. You will find a selection of guest cask ales as well as locally produced Aspalls Cyder and fine wines.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the traditional restaurant where there are choices to suit everyone's tastes and budget, using local and seasonal produce, where possible.
Prices
Prices for rooms vary dependent upon the number of room sbooked and the time of year.
As a guide, prices range from £40 for a single bedroom, £60 for a double, and £100 for a family room (per night).
Prices include Contintental breakfast which is served in our restaurant. A full Norfolk cooked breakfast can be provided at additional cost.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
A credit/debit card number is required to guarantee a booking.
We have a 48 hour cancellation policy where the first night's accommodation cost will be deducted for bookings cancelled with less than 48 hours notice.
Non-arrivals will be debited for booking in full.
